Last October 20, LMIT was invited by Professor Joaquim Moreira to hold a Workshop on Energy Efficiency at ISEP, aimed at students of the Department of Engineering, the Masters of Engineering and Industrial Management.
The Workshop was attended not only by Portuguese students, but also Erasmus students, and addressed the following themes:
- Energy efficiency and its benefits;
- Improvement measures in Buildings and Retail;
- Presentation of the Energy Management Platform – WiseMetering;
- Use of the WiseMetering Platform for decision support, implementation of energy efficiency measures, and support for efficient energy management.
In order to educate students and promote good practices in energy consumption, implementation of energy efficiency measures, and monitoring of these measures, a set of electricity meters and a WiseBox were installed in Building E.
By providing Building E with this equipment, it will allow students and the Campus management itself to collect information on energy consumption, monitor energy efficiency measures implemented, and create alarms and reports.
