At the end of 2019, LMIT strengthened its presence in Spain through the installation of WiseMetering at the Gran Casa Shopping Center in Zaragoza.
Through this major project, the portfolio of Sonae Sierra Shopping Centers outside Portugal being monitored by WiseMetering grew to two.
In these Shopping Centers, the platform supports maintenance by monitoring the consumption of electricity and water utilities. This includes a fine alarm to detect leaks and out-of-hours or excessive consumption depending on the type of consumption profile.
The WiseMetering platform also influences decisions around new investments. It provides vital information when assessing investments based on actual consumption and respective electricity and water tariffs, and on potential savings and respective payback of measures to optimize consumption. Investment opportunities include the replacement of equipment, changing operating hours, or adjusting operating setpoints.
